The color of the ice is amazing!

Facing West out on the ice, you can see Barrow on the left in the distance

Something about a large crack in the Sea Ice that gives you a little pucker factor, especially when shore is a very long ways away.

Note crack in bottom right corner, oh well, I climbed the mound anyway.
