Just a quick update...This is going to be the new hospital in Barrow, Alaska.
Projected to move into the new hospital next year, maybe around May (2013)

The current Samuel Simmonds Memorial Hospital is a 14-bed hospital. Our Inpatient unit is an all age medical/surgical unit with two beds available for low risk labor and delivery.  Our Outpatient unit is a six-room clinic and a two-bed emergency room.  Constructed in 1964, this critical access facility is the only hospital available to residents of an area larger than the state of Washington.

The new hospital will have:
·          100,000 square feet, making it four times larger than the current hospital.
·          15 Outpatient exam rooms. The current hospital has six Outpatient exam rooms.
·          Four ER beds, which is double what the current hospital has.
·          Single bed Inpatient rooms including two Labor and Delivery rooms.
·          Physical Therapy
·          CT (none at current hospital)
·          Optometry
·          Audiology and endoscopy services will be added to Specialty clinic.
·          Meditation room.
·          Employee facilities including a fitness center.
